Camping and hitchhinking surf trip in North Portugal

Hi guys !

I'm landing in Porto by the end of the month for two weeks. My plan is to go surfing around this area, and camp along the coast.

Do you know if there will be any problem to camp in the forest or on the beach ?
Are there awesome spots I definitely have to check ?

Thanks for your answers ! !

RE: Camping and hitchhinking surf trip in North Portugal

Hi Simon!
In Portugal it is forbidden to do wild camping. There are people who do but having the risk of  the police appearing, seize all equipment and spend a ticket.

Are you coming alone? At Ride351 (www.ride351.com) we provide surf trips in a unique experience in which you can get to know every day different beaches, different places getting in contact with different people and sides of our culture! To provide the accommodations we have partnerships with surf camps, surf houses, hostels and hotels in all Portuguese coast.

If this is something that you have interest, send us a email to surftripsportugal@ride351.com with more details and we will give more information's.

Another possibility it is rent a camper van.

All the best and good waves!
