Hi Im wondering the same thing,
do the winter swells become a bit less by then?
What about March/April?
Is it best then to head up to the North Coast of Spain to get the last of the winter swells? Im looking for good consistant overhead waves.

may i also say that some of the best waves in the world in my humble opinion are about 2 - 3 hrs drive north of lisbon in peniche. supertubos will most likely be going off through feb - april and overhead waves shouldnt be a problem. supertubos truly is supertubes!!! im from the sunshione coast in aus and it takes a cyclone at home to get what i have seen a number of times in peniche. as the sign at the entrance to town says. "its always offshore in peniche" rock on.

Have to agree with Rob. I've tried to surf every spot on the west coast of Portugal, lucky enough to live out here now and I keep going back to Peniche. It has beaches facing south, west and north. Very rare to not get a wave there and very often its world class. See you outback, don't drop in and play nice with the locals!

Hi I am from Cape Town South Africa and I am planning on spending a July in Peniche with my wife and children. We are all surfers and would like to rent a house somewhere on the beach. Any body got any suggestions. What is the surf in Pinche like in summer.
