Nazare in Spring« on: November 06 2018 10:11:00 »
Hi guys, I'm looking to go to Portugal this Spring and was wondering what Nazare is like in May. I'm just a high beginner surfer, so was kind of hoping there'd be 2-6 ft waves that time of year so I could have a fun chill surf in a legendary spot...

Worst place for beginners. Even in May it can get pretty big. Also 6ft in Nazare is not a joke and packs a heavy punch. If the local crew sees you as an ambitious beginner, they will nicely tell you to leave the scene.
Better surf in Peniche or Porto. Softer waves guaranteed.
