Where to stay in the algarve

Myself and 5 friends are planning a trip the Algarve (Lagos) and are looking for a recommendation about where we can stay.  On the beach - an expedia deal?  or in the town - closer to the night life?  Can we walk between the nightlife in the town and the beach for the surfing, or should we rent a car?  We want to be where the party is.  Where is that?

RE: Where to stay in the algarve

I spent 2months in portugal in summer...I was first staying in a surf camp in Carrapateira, very good for surfing, but not so close to night life..Lagos is a cool party city but the surf is shit. What about sagres?you have both there...However i would recommend  to hire a car anyway..than you can drive around and go to best surf sports.

A lot of people i met where staying on the beach out of bigger cities...in a miny bus or tents....Or surf camps as i did, which is cool cause you meet lot of people there.

I'm sure you gonna love it..
peace out,
Nejka

RE: Where to stay in the algarve

The surf in Lagos is unreliable . If your staying in Lagos you will defintily need a car to drive to the surf beachs on the west coast . Lagos has the best nightlife not Sagres
