Surfing Peniche in Sept

« on: August 25 2006 18:08:00 »

Hi, anyone surfed in Peniche?  And tips?
Absolute beginner and planning to do a few lessons, do I need a wetsuit?  Is it best to surf on high tide, low tide, incoming or outgoing?  Do we need to worry about jellyfish?
Is Peniche good, or is it worthwhile travelling a bit further up the coast as will have a car?
Regards Tyler

lots of surfcamps, they ll supply u with whatever u need(a wetsuit).no worries about jellyfish nor tides if u re beginner.peniche is as good as it gets.beaches are close together so no long drives.can stay closer to lisbon if ye want:costa de caparica, just over the bridge to the south is ok to begin.
