travel to surfspots lisbon area

Hi everybody,

I'll be going to lisbon for a week next week. I'd like to spend at least 4 days surfing at one of the many spots but unfortunately won't have a car at my disposal.

Which one would be the easiest to travel to from Lisbon? ME and my mate are both not very experienced. Would you recommend staying in a hostel in lisbon and driving out every day or is it too far? Is there stuff to do in the evenings at the surfspots?

Thanks so much for your help!

Fred

PS: Looking very forward to my trip!!

RE: travel to surfspots lisbon area

Hey Fred. how cool. I am based on theLisbon coast on one of the spots around here. Its not too far from Lisbon but if you do not have a car and the waves are good where there are no easy trasnport access, it makes it a liitle bit hard! Send me a mail if you need any more info or a surf buddy!!!! Take care, see you soon, Karin

Hi Fred!
From Lisbon, you can come in train to all the beaches of the line of Estoril, between them Praia de Carcavelos, which is one of the best; in this not very constant epoch the swell, but something of waves you will find.
If you want more information, contact, that I help you with great pleasure.
Take care
Carlos
