It will be August so i know its the middle of your European summer but can anyone tell me if im actually going to score something worth surfing in Portugal at that time of year or would i be better getting on the piss in san sebastain and hoping for waves up that way.

The Lisbon coast has plenty of spots to choose from during August with some amazing surf, Guincho, Praia Grande, Pequena, Macas and Ericeira are all pretty close together. In the south you also have some spots but more crowded.

It'll probably be very windy and it'll definitely be crowded because the whole country is on holiday. I'd go to San Sebastian - wicked place and if keep an eye on the net you can be in Hossegor in a couple of hours.

North cost, close to Porto. You´ve got the most consistent swell during summer and the less crowds.

North Spain, right next to France boarder.
Great place together with Asturias region. Come down to Portugal. Not as good as Portugal though...

Portugal is really good, also in August. The Peniche area is very consistent. A chilled out place to stay is Consolaçao, on the Southern beach of Peniche, 10 minutes from Supertubos.
Nice waves, good food and cheap beers!
