anyone give me some ideas of where to go. myself and my girlfriend are goin over for my birthday at end of oct for week from ireland. anyone have any advice on where to stay,where the best waves are and are there any companies that do surfing packages from ireland. any info would be greatly appreciated.

figueira da foz, great surf and town much cheaper than the cities and the algarve, great hostel

hey frag check out my post in the "2 weeks in late spe." thread about casa das mares - v cool guest house and good waves on the doorstep. My girlfriend loved it there. I lived in Figueira for a year and it's a wicked place as well though. Your choice.

Hey, Another nice tip would be SurfCastle... the house with the best view in Baleal.... Right in front of Lagido Surf break and with a great Sunset view over Baleal village (casa das mares included).  The rooms are very big all with a wonderful baech scenario ! Cheers !

great in south west coast, also great place to stay near for excample at aljezur, phone 00351912334718, best rent a car and try different beaches according to waves. lots of surf schools for learn and rent.
