Family looking for Portuguese surf experience« on: August 13 2007 07:08:00 »
Hi, I'm an experienced Australian surfer looking for advice please on surfing in Portugal in September-October 2008 (yes, it's a long way off, but I'm already researching). I will be travelling with wife and six-year-old child and want to combine staying in a historic coastal village/town with surfing some quality waves. We would like to find a nice relaxing place with a good vibe. We are planning to have a car. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi my friends hired a classic 76 vw kombi from siestacampers.com, based near Faro they had the surf right on the doorsteps and parked with the best sunset view ever. no stress from the police and practically parked on the beach. would have trouble beating that I reckon.
