Surfing coaching in North Portugal July - any suggestions?

« on: June 09 2008 09:06:00 »

Hi all.
I will be in the Northern half of Portugal for the last two weeks of July and I am looking for a surf school or coaching for up to five days (for me and my fourteen year old son - both beginners). I have looked at the websites but they all seem to offer coaching plus accommodation when all we are after are lessons and equipment.
Any suggestions most welcome
Best wishes
Andy

Andy where exactly are you going to be? I've got a friend south of Porto who might be able to help. I'll drop him a line and see what he says. Toby.

I'll let him know! He operates quite a bit further north though...

Have been to Cortegaca (south of Porto) together with my surfing son a few summers.

Took lessons the first year and have returned to the friendly, familiar surfcamp because the atmosphere is great. Both teenagers, and older surfers are welcomed and well provided for. Check out Surfivorcamp.com / SurfMama
