Head to the Algarve man! The south west coast of Portugal in the Algarve is where you get the best surf and if you head to either Lagos, Sagres or roche they have some great bars for the night, nothing to clubby there but they have some lively bars that are enough after the surf you can get during the day!

Yeah Lagos is a good shout though you'll need a car because most of the breaks are a half hour drive from there. Otherwise Lisbon and Figueira da Foz are both good alternatives with more to offer on flat days. If you don't have wheels, go to Peniche.
