Hi guys, i know there are a couple of similar treads already up so forgive me for adding another, but they do not cover fully the information i'm looking for.
Looking to go to Portugal august and we're a small group of guys. Half of us are surfers, other half will try it out but will be more interested in a good nightlife. im trying to find the best place where there is
I've surfed ericeira and surrounding areas and it ticks all the boxes when it came to surfing, just was a bit short in the apres surf or maybe i was in the wrong places. Anyway, my question is basically could anyone give me advice on a good location that has a good surf and good nightlife.
Thanks in advance guys

well my opinion is you guys choose Ericeira cause in august usualy our beautifull country is at low swell entry, still that location has nightlife of it´s own and it´s coll if you wanna check out lisbon +- 45 min distance, for surfing also cause if the swell´s to low you can head north a litle bit near the coast an find for sure a nice surfable spot.
wish you nice holidays in advance.....

you could try Lagos? I was there last Sept and stayed with the guys from The Surf Experience. They drove us to some great beaches with excellent waves. The nightlife was good too - quite a few lively bars within walking distance.
Also, it's not far from Faro airport - I took the bus for a few Euros.
Hope that helps,

I've had some good nights in Ericeira at "Nirvana" and also a club set into the side of the cliff. Should be good in August but if you want more there's no reason why you can't just book to Lisbon for a night or two of next level to break up the holiday.
