Surfing in and around Lisbon / Cascais

I was planning on going to Lisbon in September/October I'd be staying in Lisbon and would like to surf in and around that area (if there are any waves)...
Can someone tell me when and where I'll have luck finding some swell during this time?

Hiya Karin,
Where would you recommend around Lisbon, I've been to Peniche which has a good choice of breaks, anywhere closer to the Capital?

RE: Surfing in and around Lisbon / Cascais

hi there guys, thanks for all the info. I think my trip is going to change a bit and move to October/November..there'll probably be more swell then anyway. I'm planning on taking a 6/3 pintail and fullsuit but maybe I can hire some boards and a wettie there? If you'd like to get in touch with me, my email add. is donmckee12@yahoo.com all info is appreciated
thanks again.

Hi there, lIsbon has many spots but depends on the season. In the summer Guincho, Praia Grande, Pequena and Macas are your best options, in the winter, Carcavelos, Sao Pedro are best. Let me know if you need more help, feel free to email me. Have fun :)
