Luxury hotel, beautiful beach & surfing

My boyfriend and I are planning to spend a week in September learning to surf in Portugal. However I'm a sucker for a beautiful sandy beach and a nice hotel which rules out most of the surf schools!

With this kind of criteria does anyone have any reccomendations on where to go, where to stay and a school to attend for a week?

Thanks

There are some nice hotels on the beach in Figueira da Foz but your best bet might well be a place called Casa das Mares on the Ilha do Baleal outside Peniche. You can't get closer to the beach. Otherwise check out a place called Quinta das Sequoias in Sintra - only about 20 mins from the beach but very special. Me and my girlfriend went last September and loved it.
