Good beach for a bit of a surf and good nightlife« on: April 09 2010 03:04:00 »
Me and 4 mates are looking to come to Portugal in mid to late June and aren't sure where to go. We've all surfed a bit but not lots so nothing too serious, just having a laugh in the sea really.
Also we'd ideally be looking for a place with a relatively lively nightlife (not like magaluf or anything) but just somewhere to drink beers and listen to good music.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Depends on where in Portugal you want to go to and where you will fly into. Faro or Lisbon or Porto ?. I can send you details on all as I have done many trips there so just let me know and I will try and help out as much as possible.

Come to Ericeira, all the summer it´s a really good place to stay, a fantastic night life, incredible places to surf, a suite town where the white, blue and yellow are the colours of the houses, if you need more information or a place to stay I can help you.

Ericeira is a good place to base yourself - cool bars and restaurants right in the town which is one of the nicest in Portugal. Peniche isn't as nice but probably has a better variety of surf spots if the wind is strong. It's more of a surf camp place.
Figueira da Foz has a good balance of beach and nightlife as well, but only really tends to get real live in July/August. Drop me a line if you need specifics.

Toby's right Figueira has a good balance of both worlds. Just don't party to late or you'll miss the surf all together.
Check out our stylish Surf House, we do lessons, transport and we're slap bang in the middle of town ;) We're off out tonight for some live music!
