portugal start of may

were heading down to portugal next week for 10 days and keen for some nice waves and chilled atmosphere. we have heard about peniche and were going there for a couple of days to start off the trip. Can someone recommend some other places with good potential for waves. Both of us are good surfers and can handle all conditions.
Thanks for the help

RE: portugal start of may

Peniche or Ericeira - the man has it right! Head to peniche there are a plethora of surf camps in the area that are all pretty much the same. Peniche surf camp is the largest one - I booked through surf berbere and they gave me a good price.
Maximum surf camp was run by Ralph a German guy who was a bit of hero, but I think he has left now.
Good luck - hope you get some waves!

RE: portugal start of may

thanks guys, sounds like peniche is the place to be.....
I checked out the coast road website, very cool. Its funny, I was looking through the photos and I have some of the same photos in my album like the rock and cliff one at Madiera in Nicaragua and the anchor point in Morocco and of course the world famous jesus statue in Rio. They are all amazing places to travel and I would recommend them to anyone. Keep up the good work with coast road and happy wave hunting.
ps what was Sri lanka like, I have been thinking about for a little while now but you never hear much about it.
