Surfing in Portugal September 2011

« on: August 05 2011 10:08:00 »

Hey.  I just got my ticket to Portugal... flying in the 28th of August and I'll be staying for 2.5-3 weeks.  I'm probably just gonna stay in hostels and meet people along the way, but would really prefer to get a camper van if I can find someone cool to split the bills with.

I'm a solid high intermediate (comfortable up to overhead waves, a little sketched out in DOH) looking for good waves wherever they may be... but also interested in historical/natural history and being a bit of a tourist.

So if anyone (cool) is gonna be in Portugal this September, it would be great to have a surf buddy.

Also, if anyone has any tips, let me know!

I don't know where to sleep, i will see this in place!
i'm from toulouse, south france.
I've just take my tickets for portugal yesterday fly and rent of car. I will probably buy a tend and sleep where i could...or find good opportunities in place... just simple.

Hi!
Just booked my ticket to Lisbon, arriving Sep 5 and leaving on the 13th.

Would be interested in splitting car, camper, whatever. A friend from Turkey might be coming too (I'm a franco-american living in Nice).

I surfed around Cascais in March. Would probably go around there (Moana surf club, Alex is really nice) unless someone has wheels and a plan.

I'm a beginner, but starting to get up regularly on bigger waves.

Hey just booked a flight too :)
Fly in on the 9th an out the 16th. Been to baleal, peniche already. Hopefully up to the challenge of surfing lagida this time.Only around for a week but plan to make the most of it. Was a popular spot with campervans as free to park by the beach and showers outside too.  From chatting with a few travellers who'd been other spots locally it was rated highly, it would be cool to meet up with someone and explore some more. History fan too so all good an company to find a bit of nitelife, even better,

Hi there,

I'm looking at flying into Lisbon on 11th... 16th Sept. I'm an intermediate surfer (and new to Portugal), keen to get some waves and enjoy the culture. It would be wicked to have a surfing buddy plus I'm keen to get some tips on where the best beach breaks are!
