yes, there are waves in the summer. It all depends on how many systems and how much they develop before reaching Puerto Rico. Usually they are going to affect the southern part of the islands.If there is a hurricane or a big system you can get waves even on the northeast and northwest of the island with excellent conditions usually the days after we've been hit.
