TIDES-how big« on: June 27 2006 02:06:00 »
I am going to live in glasgow for six months starting jan/o7 attending glasgow school of art.
I am use to fairly large tides in washington state in the winter but am wondering what the largest tides in scotland are. I heard the rip can get really bad.
here I am use to paddlling in a river at times during a 6' (.305m) push or ebb while surfing points near large inlets.
my question is: is the current bad and what time of year is the best for surfing clean offshore head high waves?
Thanks in advance
