My boyfriend and I are coming to Scotland in late May or June. Which would be the most recommended spot to choose to visit for surf, he is a good surfer, used to South African waves, will be staying in Crieff, Pethshire so a spot not to far would be prefferable, what thickness wetsuits are recommended.

If your in Crieff, def give Montrose on the North East coast a pass. It's 26 miles north of Dundee, a few people go to Lunnan Bay, but I went to Montrose main beach right by the coastguard office. Big steady swell right to the beach. 6ft + coming in 25 sec sets.. It was outstanding. I went there on the 24th+ 26th Dec.. Im posting some photo's this week.. Def worth a look. Hope you get the good luck I did. Amazing.
