Is the surf better than Ireland

Im making a surf film,I work for oneill clothing/wetsuits ,is Scottland worth coming to film?

RE: Is the surf better than Ireland

Its like anywhere else... on its day it can be as good as anywhere in the world. On other days it can be  blown out mush, with biting cold, wind and rain.
If you want footage of quality barrels and surfers to match, then head to Thurso east on a day thats pumping. The difference between other countries and scotland is the scenery, which should give you reason enough to venture north. Even on a flat day, you'll find something to film.
Let me know if you make it... Id be happy to offer any assistance and would love to somehow get involved. Sounds like a cool project. Also... you should watch the dvd "cold rush" released last year to get an idea of the scottish surf scene.
