« on: August 06 2006 05:08:00 »

Who can give me some information where to take beginners courses surfing in Cape Town?I come from Germany and  I would like to go to Cape Town for surfing from 16.12.06-4.01.07. In this time do I need a wetsuit or is the water
warm enough. Futhermore I am interest in an inexpensive accommodation. Does everybody know where I can find this one?

Hi, phone Lifestyle Surfshop once you are in SA. They will sort you with surf training. Also Gary's Surf School. Re Accommodation in Cape Town (there are 1000's), Google "Accommodation Cape Town" or accommodation + Caoe Town. Re the westuit issue: the water's always cold in Cape Town, all through the year. Very cold on the Atlantic side in Summer with prevailing SE offshore wind. Yes, get a full wetsuit.
