where to live in capetown« on: October 03 2006 13:10:00 »
ive read all the posts about where to live. heres my situation. i dont care about girls, bars, or relaxed environments. i want surf. im thinking of doing an internship for may-aug in capetown. i need to be close enough to walk/bus/train it to a break that is good when small and holds a good swell. i will not be able to get a car while im there. im all out. i will walk an hour at dawn in my rubber if i have to. any suggestions?

Public transport -watch out for the criminal elements... Has 2 oceans; cold Atlantic, warmer Indian -need wetsuits. +- 52 surf spots -from 2 - 60 feet Red Bull surf spots. quality is not Indo, Lots of close outs...best months May to Nov. 1 Day drive to Jbay!!!!! ACCOMODATION 5 star hotels to student lodges.. If I were you I would aim to stay in Kalk Bay (warmer water) for the good reefs and close to good Atlantic spots like the Reserve and Outers. Budget for +- 3000 rand (375 US dollars) per month for a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment. I rent my apartment out for 250 US dollars per month - 20 minutes for surf by car. Contact me at
