Planning to head over

hey guys im from australia and i hav drawn tired of bali, etc and me and a mate now want to tackle SA for about a month in dec 07' or jan/feb 08'.. been only two of us and not wanting to take a tour, we plan to hire a car and do the trip ourselves... we r curious where would be best to start our trip, and depart from... and wat would be everyones recommendation on accomodation/ safaris/ type of transport etc... we r both 19, cheers from the aussies

We sort of bro's... you know. This is our summer now..small waves, bad waves overall. Not like Indo. Start from Durban go south, Jbay then Mossel Bay. Don't go further. Cape Town is windy, small..not worth it..Best months for surfing is April to November...apologies you missed it mate! Travel by bus or train, best a private car. Good roads, watch for crime. Don't leave your girl alone - Never.....Don't touch local girls..AIDS.
