Two weeks of surf in June« on: May 16 2007 19:05:00 »
I'm looking for some advice on getting two quality weeks of surf in June. My initial plan is to fly in to Cape Town on June 11th, buy a board and surf there for a few days. Then take the Bazbus over to J-bay, while hopefully finding some waves along the way. Sound good? (After 3 weeks of school in Joburg, I'll also have a week in July surfing Durban )
Does anyone have recommendations on where to stay during that time? Probably not a surprise but I'd like to be real close to waves.
How about preferred shaper/surfshop for picking up a board?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I have a solution to your problem. I have just taken over the Blue Oceans Backpackers inMuizenberg. It is situated 150m from surfers corner. There are a few places selling boards about 100m from the backpackers. Let me know if you interested.
