South African Road Trip May/June 09« on: April 29 2009 17:04:00 »
Me and a mate, two Australians, are lucky enough to have my mates aunty and uncle lend us their 4WD for two weeks to drive the coast from Durban to Capetown.
Have read all the usual things, avoid driving at night lock doors and windows etc.
But just wondering specifically to that stretch are there any places to avoid or places we must go.
Also any links for cheap accomodation or tips on how much to expect to pay would be great.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm a Canadian working in Durban for the month (May '09). I have vacation time at the end of May and beginning of June (I leave from Durban for Canada on June 8th/09). I am planning on hiring a vehicle and doing some touring on my own, but if the dates work out and you need someone to share costs, I'm happy to tag along. I've never surfed before, but am hoping to find some beginner places/opportunities while I'm here. Send me an email when you get the chance.
