Surf rentals Canaries« on: February 06 2006 15:02:00 »
I will be travelling to either Tenerife or fuerteventura on very short notice. I am asking about rental boards. I am a surfer of good ability, but have been away from the water for a year working in Finland. I have only seen a ´couple of ads for shops that have the all to common BIC, not even the better version which ride ok. Does anyone have any idea where I could perhaps rent a decent board either long or mid size. I am from Oregon USA and regularly surfed way overhead and am comfortable taking a log out into that of needed. I would welcome any suggestions! Any shops have a buy back policy on used boards?!
Thanks a ton and ask me of you head to the USA for surf info.

I tried to rent a board at Las Americas, Tenerife a few years ago. They didn´t have any rentals, and I understand why, since the reefs are everywhere and sharp! Both shops at LA had a buyback policy. I have no idea about the quality of their boards, I´m pretty much a beginner myself.
