Are there any remote sections of Northern Spain's coast?

« on: February 08 2006 01:02:00 »

Would anyone be able to tell me if any sections of the coast of Northern Spain are remote, with few or no people or towns, even in peak tourist season?

Christopher, yes is the answer to your question. Plenty of remote spots in summer from San Sebastian right along the coast through Bilbao and on to Santander and beyond. I visited last summer for 2 weeks and got my fair share of empty linups at certain spots.

Thanks, Peter!

So, would anyone be able to tell me, for comparison, if the remoteness and lack of people, towns, etc. along Northern Spain's most desolate coastal stretches would compare with that of certain sections of Northern California's coast (where I live)?
