go to the North shore- can camp on north track if you want which runs from corralejo to cotillo , which is where there are loads of breaks to surf. Corralejo is quite family orientated but there are quite a few bars and a couple of clubs. I always stayed there. cheap hostels. Cotillo has heavy beachbreak and is cheap locally place. never stayed there. bE CAREFUL IF YOU ARE PICKING CAR UP FROM AIRPORT WITH BOARDS as once they wouldn't give me it as they know surfers mash the cars on the rally track which is the north track. Fantastic waves in winter. Have fun
