Santander, Spain ... Help!« on: April 03 2006 03:04:00 »
(I've posted this on another site and not got a response yet, so sorry if you've read this twice)
Finally managed to get one of those el cheapo flights I've heard so much about. As an intermediate wrinkly longboarder, can someone point me in the right direction to base myself - for instance, the coastline west or east of Santander? And any cheap hotel or apartment recommendations close to a nice surf spot? I have all my own gear and will have a car, so I don't necessarlily need to be near a surf shop or rental place. I'm going at the end of April.
Cheers and thanks in advance.

I stayed in The campsite at Cabo Mayor to be near the town, on the way out of town I would check out Sardinero beach to see if there were waves but I surfed in Liencres most days (about 20 minutes by car) but also did Somo, Los Locos in Suances.....Its all pretty close, but for me the most beautiful spot is Liencres
