Surfing Northern Spain

I am studying in Santander next spring.  Wondering where the best/closest surf breaks are. Also, any ideas on how to travel with a board but without a car?

Hola whitney

There is some good places around mundaka and Bilbao, Like sopelana. It is one of the most popular breaks. It is not heavy and is usually full and crowed. There is a break next to it worth looking at You can catch busses with boards, they are pretty cool about it. But it these breaks are a little travel from Santander. Maybe you could go to France and surf? It is much better Ps I am returning next year to work. Could you let me know how you got your work permit or study permit
