Surfing for beginners in Alicante or San Sebastian?

Last summer I went to Hawaii and that was my first time to surf!  I will be studying abroad in June and would like to be somewhere that I can definately surf.  I am trying to decide between Alicante and San Sebastian.  Can I surf in either of these places and if so do you know what the water temps will be like?

RE: Surfing for beginners in Alicante or San Sebastian?

Hey there, where are you studying? I am over in Valencia right now.  Not sure about the surf in Alicante, went there about a month ago and it was like a lake.  I am going to San Sebastian at the end of April to catch some waves. From what I here there are 2 bays, one that gets crazy surf and the other that gets the leftovers...don't take my word for it though, I would still keep asking.  Good luck over here, it is amazing and you def. not be wanting to go home!
