Surf trip to Northern Spain

Hello

I'm planning a surf trip to Northern Spain in  mid august. Could anybody recommend any good surfspots and good hostels with a freindly environment. I'm probably travelling alone so I'm looking for a hostel where I can meet some nice people.

Is  Ribadesella any good???

RE: Surf trip to Northern Spain

Hey, a few yrs back i stayed in a hostel in san sebastian, it was on top of a hill near the surf beach & had a great time. Good region for beginner surfers but at that time of year, getting some swell could be a problem, better chance in basque of france. Good luck

RE: Surf trip to Northern Spain

I will be in Northern Spain on the 20th looking to surf. Don't know any of the breaks but hope to find a board and some waves. Let me know if you find a good hostel, maybe we could meet up and catch some surf. Take care.

RE: Surf trip to Northern Spain

don't bother with spain or any other country that speaks spanish or portugese, i found that northern spain had worse localism than hawaii!!!!, total waste of time, they are rude and inconsiderate!!!!!!! i won't give them the time of day in my country(s/africa). rather go north of hossegor, sick waves and friendly locals....
