surf and cheap accomodation in san sebastian and bordeaux« on: July 24 2007 10:07:00 »
Hi everyone, I'm plannig a surf trip to bordeaux and san sebastian beginning of august. Does anyone know of very cheap accomodation close to good beginner surf breaks in any one location?? I'm thinking of campings or place on a farm or anything..
Also if anyone knows somewhere where i can buy a cheap secondhand board..??!!
If someone is in the area at around that time it would be great to meet up!

there's a youth hostel, 16 € per night including breakfast, if i remember well, the name is la sirena, walking distance to la concha, the main beach there, you better look it up 'cuz it's sometimes all booked, in zarautz there'0s another too, fomr the same youth hostel asociation, there's one in cantabria, in loredo that's under 6€ the night!!! and it's walking distance to the beach under 100 meters!!! excellent place.

I too am heading to San Sebastian (for the first time) and am looking for good, clean, affordable accommodations near the beach. I am a very beginning surfer who will be in San Sebastian from July 21-August 14 studying Spanish, traveling about, and of course, surfing! Any recommendations are appreciated!

I will also be in San Sebastian arriving around 15-16th July... I might stay in SS or head to Biarritz or somewhere else - depends on the vibe & surf. Little more than beginner but no where near advanced so good to find out what people are doing... Speak some spanish having spent the winter in Central America and studying in Nicaragua for few weeks...
Get in touch if you'd like to hook up - email@example.com. Im an Aussie but living in Finland these days...
Look forward to hearing from those interested in surfing, drinking and so on ;)

heya peeps - my gf and I are off to Biarrtitz this thurs (17th July) and then backpacking/hitch hiking across Europe and hiring boards as we need (we're both intermediate surfers but couldnt bring our boards cos we're skint!
Going to be in San Sebastien around the 19/20th of July - I've heard of a wicked place to set up camp in an old abandoned military post: supposedly its near the beach and has epic views out across the ocean!
Anyway point is if you guys fancied hanging out/meeting up then drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org - if it looks possible I'll leave you my mobile number so we can get in touch :o) maybe see you peeps there!
