RE: Surfboard rental in Galicia?« Reply #1 on: May 16 2009 01:05:00 »
last summer we were able to find one surf shop (quite a few other botiques selling surf related apparel) in Ferrol, Galicia, which did not rent surfboards, but we were able rent one board from the owner, whose name i believe was Miguel, cant remember for sure, but he was very helpful and nice. According to a post on wannasurf under Galicia Surf, Miguel is now supplying equipment to the seekersurfcamp, so perhaps now rentals are available. If you havent already tried, when shipping a board on an airline consider wrapping the rails with pipe insulation foam, and lie strips of the foam along the top and bottom, works like a charm.
