Best canary surf spot for summer please!!!!

« on: March 23 2009 10:03:00 »

Hi, I'm wanted to go to the canaries this summer and I'm struggling to find the best place to go for good, intermediate surf. I also need some sort of accommodation near enough to the surf.

Thanks for any help.

It's best to hunt around; with some luck and a swell you'll find daily surf around La Santa in Lanzarote, and an OK town too. Tenerife is good for culture and food, plus if you have a car, surf most days, especially el socorro near Pto. de La Cruz, and Punta del Hidalgo.

I went to Lanzarote, good waves, mean locals, plenty of volcanoes and a chill out place to stay http://casaruraltao.yolasite.com
The owner is a surfer and can direct you to the best spot depending on the wind and the tide.
