surf trip february

« on: October 20 2009 04:10:00 »

ola people
i am from austria and i am thinking of going surfing somewhere in february for 2-3 weeks... which is not all too far away, and not too expensive to fly to, and worth going for 2 or 3 weeks and where it's a bit warmer than here

(initially i was thinking abt going somewhere to south america but apart from the last one it doesn't really fulfil those criteria;)

soo i was thinking about canary islands, what can you tell me about it?

how are the waves there? i'm not a complete beginner, but quite a beginner.
how warm is it in february?
is it crowded?
is it possible to get around there without a car?
is it expensive?
is it nice? :)

and so on...
i would be happy about your advice, thanks!

Hello
I am Robien and living in Fuerteventura (Canary Islands). When you live in Europe and you want to get the endless summer with only 4 hours flying than you should go to Fuerteventura. The surfshop Homegrown (www.homegrown.es) has cheap accomodation anda car rental for 1 week is 150 euro. And also very important, the watertemperature in February is 19 degrees ;)
