I think the coaches may take it, the renfe trains I have been on they dont like it, but you could ask if it could go in guards van.
Watch out in the bus stations in southern spain near the ferry ports to morrocco, I was in one waiting for a connection looking fairly respectable and the police swaggered in and picked me out for a stop and search, out of others in the station most of whom looked like they had just come off a people smuggling boat from Africa.
The police took me to the toilets and felt ALL areas!
It was humiliating, as I speak some Spanish I think they were ok in the end.

Well the guards van is like a storage coach at the front or back of train.
I really am not sure if the train or bus will take you.
if you ring renfe, u see I got on a train in galicia and they went nuts about me having only a 7'6 but it was ok as I was getting off just one stop. However, if you get on in say Madrid, they may have a guards van if u go to where it terminates.
The bus, I dont know but the longer distance ones are ok.
Also, u can hire a small car from madrid and drop it off in malaga etc.
