Hi ther ,
I had a discussion with the minister of sport in srilanka cause I had the wish to open up a surf school in srilanka i did not do it cause sri lanka is alitlle diferend to other places anyway
the most popular place is arugambay and hikkaduwa
go to mambo and ask for mambo or mambos brother dont ask any other .
if you stay with tis group of people nobody will ask anything and if some ask somthing youst say i am a friend of mambo and the leave you in freedom .
But take care as a girl if you travel alone i can give you a number of my very good brothers and beachboys from beruwela and bendota and will have anive pick up from the airport.
thousand greetings from thomas southgermany (nature-dynamics@t-online.de).

hi there,
i have just come from sri lanka in feb and march and also recommend mambos as a good place to go, the also have boards to hire and you can sell your boards there if you are strapped for cash. they are very friendly and seem to take care of you there as some other locals and other wave hungry tourist can be unfriedly so its a great place to go to escape being hassled. some good dudes to get to know there are suji and babaya. peace have a blast
