Sri Lanka North West Surfing« on: April 03 2019 17:04:00 »
Hi Guys, Potentially traveling to Sri Lanka at start of Oct. Just asking for anyone has surfed anywhere north of Arugum Bay, im going to be local in the northern hills and was hoping to get some waves closer to the north west corner near Trincomalee, my research so far tells me there are no ways till 7 hours south to Arugum bay.
Anyone got more info than that?

Think you mean north east.
SL has 2 seasons, for 2 coasts. South west works October to April. South east works May to September.
There’s beaches around trinco but doubt there’s much surf any time . There’ll be none in October/November unless you’re a kite or wind surfer.
If you wanna surf in October, make the trip to the south west...Arugam has almost certainly turned completely off by then
