Looking for work at surfcamp/ surfshop in Sri Lanka« on: September 05 2006 19:09:00 »
Hi my name is Drew Palumbo and I am an experienced surfer whos looking for a new life in Sri Lanka. I've been looking for places to live and work for a few months now and I met a group of guys from Sri Lanka and from what I have heard and researched its my kind of place. I have been lifeguard and CPR certified for 4 years and have taught swim lessons for over a year. I have taught friends to surf and would love to teach at a surfcamp. I am also experienced in repairing surfboards and very willing to learn how to shape. If anyone out there can help you would be a godsend because i gotta get outta the US! Right now im living in PA with my parents and i only get to surf on weekends, so if anyone can hire, I can be on a plane in a week, literally. Thanks a lot.

Sorry drew but what planet are you living on, you havent done any resource, 1 sri lanka is 3rd world they earn about 1 dollar a day and for that they work hard, there is no shaper or lifeguards, so do you think they will employ a stupid yankie and pay you loads of money, when they cant even support the local people. Go for holiday, but no luck on work or better yet go to california.

He's right dude your living the American dream. The best thing to do is work state side, save your green backs and go for an extended vacation. It pisses off the rest of the planet when people from the country trying to control the world is so naive. Take a few extra dollars with you for the locals.
