surf on Bora and Tahiti

Leaving San Diego on 8/25 for 3 days in Bora and 7 days in Tahiti. Looking for some surf spots and wondering what size of board to take. I'm not a "giant wave" surfer, head high is good. Also looking to do some scuba diving. Any advice?
