Teaching in Chiayi and love to surf!« on: July 29 2014 17:07:00 »
Hey so I just moved to Taiwan this week still getting my feet wet with everything. I'm an avid surfer and brought two boards a 5'6" and 5'11". I'm living in Chiayi and would live to know how easy it is to travel south/east with surfboards on public transport (trains/buses). I saw that I can get to the east coast relatively easy by train and I think I can bring surfboards on that not sure though about the bus to Keting. Also are there's any west coast spots by that are reachable by scooter? Thanks and if there are any surfers nearby give me a shout

Sorry but did you find out about travelling with surfboards? We're about to go to Taiwan for two weeks surfing but it's hard to find accurate information about bringing surfboards on buses and trains.
I would appreciate your response.
