Trying to find some people to surf with« on: September 16 2010 08:09:00 »
I actually just arrived in Xiamen for a year. There is know waves there but Taiwan is not far away, and it's pretty cheap to go there by ferry. Is there any local that I can meet or can talk to organize something when some swell is coming ?
Anybody knows where I could buy a board ?
Hopping somebody will answer !

I'm from spain and i'll be one month (january) working in taipei. I'm willing to surf the most i can and make most of the time around the island. But the best way to check around the waves is by car and the rental is pretty expensive. I'm looking forward meeting people to arrange weekends trips to surf to share the car rental and give me some advice about best spots. I check to bring my board but it was not worth it. I also checked the prices over there but i didn't find anything cool. Do you know if the rental places are located at the beach often or that could be a problem?? Any advice??
