Surfing in Thailand in August

« on: June 19 2012 05:06:00 »

Hey Guys, I'm going to be in Thailand in August and was wondering where I might be able to catch some waves. It would be nice to have somewhere where I could rent a board and even take a lesson if i needed to.

No problems in this season, in Khao Lak, in Phuket 'Surin, Kata, Patong...)
For the boards, I recommend you, renting on the beach is arip off.

Just got back and had fun wind swell waves at Kata Beach, Board hire on the beach was 100 baht per hour, also great food at Cafe Operah in Kata - 100 baht per meal - loved it...

if you want uncrowded waves, and really good lessons try koh lanta, much nicer place to hang out than phuket, less  touristic, and  great value accommodation
