it's sure worth taking you'r board to holland. in sept. it can be verry good. specialy de 'hunnebedden' are realy gnarly!
and if the swell comes from southwest then you have to surf "the zaanse schans". the crowd is small.

Depends on what you are used to. The waves are mushy and powerless most of the times. If you are spoilt by atlantic or pacific waves, leave your gear at home.

benny i don't know wich part you are from in Holland but i live near Den-Haag and surfed around the world and i can tell you. you must be really bored if you want to surf in our country.

I think it's worth, depending on where you will stay. If you will be stating nearby the coast, then it's worth. Because you have to check whether the waves are surfable. You don;t want to Stay in Maastricht and travel for 2 hours for no surfing. It is as follows: if there are waves on this moment, they can be away within 3 or 4 hours.
But now and then it's very good, although the waves are only generated by the wind. Like last sunday: it is already now known as: Big Sunday. If you have your own gear it saves you from hiring one. Buying could be expensive. Hiring will cost you abt. 8-10 Euro's for one hour (2nd hour is cheaper however).
