Surfing in California End of October - Where and how to go?« on: September 16 2015 02:09:00 »
I will be in LA for two weeks in the second half of october. First week I am working, the second week I am free, so I hope to catch some waves.
I am an advanced surfer, surfing in Indonesia most of the time.
I have a three questions:
1. I did some research on the internet and would probably try my luck in Ventura County, or is there another region which might be better?
2. Is renting a car a must or is it possible to get around using public transport?
3. How about accomodation: are there cheap places to stay along the cost (I am on a budget) or is renting a campvan/RV a better option?
Thank you very much

Lots of wonderful places to surf The best place is South Orange County Doheny , Sano and Trestles
I would find a spot in Dana Point Also I believe there is a state park with camping ... If you can buy a used long board you will love it ....
If you are stuck in Los Angeles then Surf Malibu
