Oahu Surf Late Spetmber, North or south Shore« on: June 21 2016 11:06:00 »
I am an intermediate surfer from Southern CA and am planning a trip to Oahu during the last week of September 2016. Would it be best to stay on the North Shore or South shore? I want to go where the waves are most consistent, not necessarily the most perfect/big. The winter swells shouldn't be too big for me to surf on the North Shore in late Sept, but there also might be enough South swell in the water at that time of year that the South shore would be the better call.
I am traveling with my girlfriend as a romantic trip but plan to also treat it as a surf trip and score the best waves possible while on Oahu. We will have a rental car so if it's flat on on the south shore I would drive to the north shore and vice versa. If you were on Oahu for 8 nights in late September, where would you stay to get the most consistent waves?
