Go with Hatteras on the Outer Banks if you are willing to drive the hour south from Nags Head. Just don't cut me off.

umm maybe you should consider consulting your maritime history books. the aformentioned coast to which you have posted your QUERY is often so reffered as THE GRAVEYARD OF THE ATLANTIC. Very consistent but suffers from bad winds and "Victory at Sea" when big noreasters develop. If it gets big to to the Islands. Puerto Rico, The Dominican Republic, Block Island, Long Island, Rhode Island, etc...

I think the guy was asking about the Carolinas, not the Dominican bro, but I'm sure he'd go it you fitted the bill. And besides, its not that bad down here in March. True Noreasters do affect the overall weather scheme and the waves sometimes, but they are more prevalent during the winter months. Plus, no VB or Fl kooks just yet in March. The don't arrive until its warm.

Try the national park service campgrounds in Frisco or Buxton. Go to the frisco one if you want a better scenic view. If these are closed, try Cap Woods Campground on the Buxton backroad.

OBX thats it. south carolina has the worlds biggest continental shelf off shore so theres no room for swell to build.
