I just got back from Costa Rica and surfed for about 2 days straight and now I'm addicted. I live in Charlotte NC and my work is bassing me at Laguardia so I will be spending alot of time there. What's the closest surf Long Island I assume and can you easily get there from queens using public transportation? We'll anyways any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

You can also surf in the Rockaways. They have a surf only section between 88th and 90th st in the summer, but it can get real crowded. You can also take the A train out there as well.
